Heart 2 Heart

Mother/Daughter Adventure Retreat

Celebrate and enrich your relationship with Mom and/or Daughter in this weekend of loving, nurturing adventure in the heart of the Rocky Mountains near Vail, CO. The weekend will include developing trust, communication skills, emotional discernment tools, rock climbing, gentle yoga and plenty of time to connect to each other.

Nestled in the beautiful Vail Valley, Eloheh Ranch will be your home for these three days. Along bubbling Eby Creek in Eagle, we will meet on Friday for our opening circle, a deep listening exercise, followed by dinner. On Saturday, we’ll circle up for more communication skills and then go rock climbing. For all ages and abilities, the rock climbing will connect you to your own power and confidence as well as create a new bond of trust and connection between mothers and daughters. NO EXPERIENCE NECESSARY! It doesn’t matter if you climb all the way up or just go a foot off the ground. This is about building trust and pushing your own personal limits, sharing your strength and vulnerability with your mother/daughter and bonding deeply through the experience of sharing this challenge together. The day winds down with evening by the creek, dinner and fire pit at the Ranch. On Sunday we’ll dive into the heart of the mom/daughter relationship through emotional discernment exercises that will serve your entire life. Lunch and a final circle end this deep inner and outer adventure!

with Susie Kincade, life coach and transformational wilderness guide

As an aspiring Olympic athlete, Susie was the first woman ever to compete on a men’s NCAA collegiate athletic team, diving for UCLA’s  swimming/diving team. She became an advocate for women in sports and an avid outdoor adventurer who understood innately the power of her connection to the natural world. In Vail since 1981, Susie has had a broad Marketing career in corporate, private and non-profit realms. She is a graduate of Path of the Ceremonial Arts and an Awakening the Dreamer facilitator, as well as a TEDxVailWomen speaker. Susie co-founded Women’s Empowerment Workshop in 2011, and has developed nature adventure retreats for women and girls of all ages. The mother of four daughters, she is dedicated to helping girls and women in every transition in life discover and deepen their journey. Using nature as both the metaphor and the medium, Susie has created exceptional and highly transformational retreats that are always held close to nature. As a trained ceremonialist, Susie performs ceremonies for any life transition and is a spiritual and life coach.

She balances her industrious work life by hiking in wilderness, rafting wild rivers (she’s rowed her own boat down the Grand Canyon four times), growing a voluminous organic garden and cultivating fantastic adventures in the garden of her life.
